ABS problem

I've been having this little problem with my 97 CL brakes. It seems that I don't have any. My ABS light is on and I have no pressure when I press down on the brake until the very end. I've had a couple close calls with my brakes locking up but I have been lucky. Has this happened to anyone else? What's wrong with the brakes and how much is it going to cost me? I have had the master cylinder changed twice and that has not helped, but I would really like to drive the wreckless way I used to again. Thank you.

If your ABS light is on, might want to check ur sensors. There are one at each wheel where it measures the speed of the wheel. When one is not working it shuts off the entire ABS system. I had to replace 3 of them , it cost $150 for the part but lucky for me it was covered by the dealership. Whew.

Would that cause the brake pedal to have no pressure until you almost get to the floor?

Have you checked to make sure you are not low on fluid. Cause you kinda need that to brake, and low fluid would make the light go on also.

I've taken my car to my japanese car specialist and they checked all the fluids and then told me that it was the master cylinder but after forking up the money for that, the brakes went bad again within a day. Twice I have had the master cylinder changed and I am back with bad brakes. They then told me that the ABS computer system might be broken and that if that is the case I would be looking at about $1200 to get them fix. I don't want to have to pay all that.
