? about our grills
on the 98+ Cls the emblem in the front does not have the wings. I was wondering if it screws in the the grill with 2 screws like the 97s do. anyone here know? what im wanting to do is get a black 98+ emblem for the front and put it in my grill with the gutter stuff. i need something to hide the pig snout as anglecl calls it

im pretty sure it screws to the back of the grill. the 97 grille is three pieces, the 98 is one. im preety sure you can only do the gutter on the 97 grille. the chrome strip on the 98 one doesnt come off, or i havent seen one come off yet.

I have 99 CL, and no you can't mesh the grill, cause it's all one piece, the chrome part is, together with the black plastic piece. the A in the front is two screws holdin it. So i just took it off, and sprayed it white, so it looks like i have a white emblem on. 
But do any of you guys know where i could find a 97 grill besides the dealer?? cause i like that chrome wing part. It looks more like the new grills on the TLs

yeah its 3 pieces like 40 for each. it was well worth it. look how nice a new chrome and painted pieces look. my old one was too beat up.
