97 Prelude engine?
Is it a direct swap or is there some customizing? So I would have to get the ecu and the tranny, right? Will the ecu just plug right in? I have a friend who works in a salvage yard who said he can get me a really good price if I ever thought about doing the swap! If I did I could go ahead and beef the bitch up while its out and gets some real horsepower under the hood!!!!

my engines on order.. and i have no clue whats involved in the swap.. i've heard you need new axels.. but the stock tranny will bolt right onto it.. most engines come with trannys and the h22a trannys a bit better then ours..

H22A swap would probably need, ecu, engine, wiring harness, and axles as basic parts for the swap. Preferably you'd also probably want the transmission and shift linkage from a Prelude as well, most likely the h22a engine and the Accord transmission are not properly suited performance wise to one another.

Find some engine mounts too...if you're swapping, you mine as well get polyurethane race mounts..and billet axles too. A Japan Spec VTEC Prelude made 210~215 at the crank. But this could be because of a freer flowing exhaust and no cat, not to mention the leaded gas they use.
