Hello I am a newby to Acurazine. I own a 97 3.0 CL with 92,000 miles. I have only owned the car for about a 1 1/2years. My wife drives the car and really loves it. I have had the ABS system cleaned out twice now and it is still making that cycling noise. Is purchasing a rebuilt pump really my only option $1000.00 installed? Thanks for any help, suggestions.

I have the same problem, I have been told that it may be the ABS module. This can be rebuilt for ~ $400 I am going to try this before I get a new ABS pump. The company is autoecu.com you send them your computer module and they rebuild it for you. Email them they are really good about answering and can provide you more details. My dealership recommended that I rebuild my module first b4 the pump. My cycling noise happens EVERY time I start the car, and I have already lost my brake system twice, so I am looking into this option first. I will be doing the new module and then if that doesn't work doing the pump, but I think the module is a much more reasonable option to try first. Hope that helps.

 

Thanks for the response. I will check with this company on Monday. I am real interested to see what my mechanic says about this option. I have actually had two shops tell me I would have to replace the pump. I have not had any brake failure. My wife said we are not selling the car. So I will be trying something soon.
