50k milestone... What to do now?

~20 minutes ago:

~18 minutes ago:

1 second after it fully turned.

Ok, so I got this car with about 47k miles on it in may. since then I've changed the oil, changed the tranny fluid (not flush, just drain), put on a CAI, replaced all teh STOCK TIRES with V4's, and waxed it twice .

so, I can't seem to find my owners manual, and I'm going to assume that the person who owned it before me didn't do any of the scheduled checkups besides change the oil. I plan on replacing the spark plugs and wires, but what should I replacee them with? I also plan on getting some OBX headers once I sell this snowboard i'm trying to get rid of.

What kind of checkups have I missed (if the previous owner didn't do anything, and what should I do to it now?

did you plan that out on purpose that you hit 50k at 50mph?

Replace the spark plugs, but not the wires. They last for a long time if you take care of them. If you do need to replace them because it has visible cracking, get stock ones. Replace the stock plugs with NGK's.

Did you replace the airfilter? Fuel filter? You could add a tranny cooler like me . Grease the window sliders, also sunroof. Check battery. Get lifetime alignment if needed. Adjust headlight...I can't stand being blinded at night...

Also, I'm glad I don't live in Denver...there's crazy drivers that take pictures of their interior instead of wathching the road

lol, yeah it was just for a second and it was 1 in teh morning, so nobody was out driving.

I forgot to mention that I already did put a tranny cooler on there, adn it looks like there is a new battery in tehre already, so maybe the guy did do a bit more than I gave hm credit for.

I'll just replace the plugs, and leave the stock wires. no need to replace until I go turbo

oh yeah btw: my sister lives in portland. good stuff.

It's all down hill from there - just kidding! These CL are great - I didn't have to do any kind of maintenance, except for oil changes and I think my battery died, until mine hit like 85K miles - then I replaced the plugs and if I remember the brakes finally needed to be replaced. Mine now has just under 110K and it's starting to show its age. The steering wheel shakes whenever the engine fan kicks in, the driver seat creeks, the engine grumbles more, the sunroof doesn't seal as well and makes wind noise, the seats are looking worn, the steering wheel leather is dried up and ready to split, the front end makes a wumpa wumpa wumpa sound. But I'm not complaining - its been relatively trouble free. I look at other car forums, like the VW forums or the Jeep forums, and am surprised by all the problems people post. Anywho - I don't know where I'm going with this, but enjoy your CL!
