3.0CL engine Mods ?

Whats up Guys and you lovely Lovely Ladies out there. I have a question to ask what kinda of engine mods are there for the 3.0CL platform. I know of headers custom turbos and comptech's supercharger but they are not in my opinon worth the amount of money that needs to be invested. Yeah there all cool and all but 4000k on a supercharger the only adds 50 to 60 horsepower sucks. There has got to be some peeps out there who have some tuning tricks that would help. Also I would like to know f the NSX 3.0 engine shares the same parts if so could there heads be used better flowing I'm assuming. I done a couple of things already cold air intake less restrictive Catalytic Converter and a Custom Cat back Dual Exhast the lools factory will post pictures latter. And last how do the grounding kits seem to work as far as being worth the investment. Thanks Joe

I doubt that the NSX engine and the J30A1 have anything in common other then the name Acura. From what i understand the NSX is a V6 DOHC motor thats mounted behind the car. with that being said the engine bay would be totaly different, and things made to work and fit in the NSX engine bay would be totaly different then the 3.0 CL? just my guess

repley to white 3.0

the engine bay wouldn't have anything to do with the stock internals the wiring yes would be different and some things would be different on the nsx. But my real question is the nsx 3.0 and cl 3.0 share the same bore and stroke and same physical characteristics. I Used to work in a Machine shop building race engines so i guess the main thing is does anyone truly know what the differences are between these motors? And Baka T as far as the superchatrger maybe you should read above about my opinion on them it seems all the guys who have them get rid of them does't that tell you something.

I doubt swapping there heads would be possible or beneficial being that they are DOHC and we are SOHC

Go look up the engine specs of the 2 engines... nothing the same about them... except displacement?

find a pic of the engine bays of the 2 cars totally different not much fits.

SOHC and DOHC there is your main difference.

get some headers an intake an exhaust a throttle body spacer a ZEX wet 100 shot tranny cooler new plugs wires fuel pump VAFC II some unorthodox racing pulleys CL-S machined cams.

and an E TURBO!!!!!

j/k

but yeah those other things should set you up well.

uh.... dont waste your money and go straight to the nitrous thats the only real power to be gained aside from headers... and hop on that tranny cooler.

Indeed. The Comptech SC with the high-boost (8psi) pulley is awesome. Be sure to get tranny cooler, headers & exhaust to go along with it though.
