98-02 accord obx headers...ebay...they need a slight mod..$250-300

 

what part did you have to bend jbpray?

i heard that the welds of the obx headers are not very well done and have heard of them leaking after some months of use

how much did you pay to modify them? and who did it?

 

I have install OBX header and the welds are OK but I see some people on the v6 forum and here that broke these but after a certain time so .

Cost me mothing to modify (friend did it), but should not be higher than 25$ (go to anyway place that install muffler like midas,etc)

BTW, search the forum this thread has be answer many times for the modification of the bend for the CL.

 

buy the OBX's and have them modded. Nothing beats comptech, but you pay out the ass to get the parts. A while back, someone posted pics, might have been dustbuster4, of what exactlly has to be bent, at what point and how far to make them work. Members have said that the headers are the most bang for the buck as far as a bolt on part for the 3.0.

I think I will try the OBX set , I had really good luck with the ghetto version of the Comptech Ice Box I constructed by ripping out some stock parts, building a feed pipe, and putting a K&N filter in place of the stock one... If you look at the Ice Box, Then look at the stock box, Not much different ............. Anyway Thanks.........

 

All you really did to the car was add noise. You removed the stock resonator and are pulling in colder air, but there is still a lot of restriction due to the ribs in the stck rubber intake pipe. Its better than stock, but does't add much. Invest in a short ram or cai for real results.

 

Got an AEM CAI , sounds better but no HP increase.. Still have to get those headers....

OBX off of EBAY looks like the trick!$

 

uh did you get it dynoed an intake isnt going to change the butt dyno unless you have a sensitive ass
