1st gen audio setup

I have a few things that I am unsure about maybe you guys can help out.

1. I currently have Polk's MM6 components in the box still and I wanted to see if anyone knows if the newer MMC6500 model will fit and sound better at all.

** The mounting depth on the MM6's are 2 13/16 (top mount) and the MMC6500's are 2 11/16 (top mount).

2. Does anyone have pics of their component installs? I am more interested in any pics of modificatioons that I may have to make.

3. Would a simple Q customs kickpanel install be a better solution for what I want to do?

4. Lastly I have polk's momo 6x9's MMC690... The older model (if this isn't it). The top mount depth is 3 1/4. Should I be able to install these with no problems or should I throw the MM6's in the back with a plate?

Thanks for any help!

Kick would be the best way to install compenents because the imaging will be better then just placing them into the doors. If you could get custom kicks done, they will sound better then Q-Forms because they will be able to aim the speakers. If you go with q-forms, you have to reinforce it with fiberglass, or just dynamat/raammat.

6x9 should bolt right up to the stock location in the back since the stock ones are 6x9s

That is nice... but I kind of want to keep my car stock-looking. I am having a hard time on trying to figure out how to hide 3 amps too. The kickpanels look like they are not so intruding. Does anoyone know if they are sealed?

Maybe i'm calling it the wrong thing. I guess i'd rather throw this other piece of plastic or fiberglass down on my floor instead of tearing apart my door. Here is a link: http://www.qlogic.ws/2003/products/q...productID=4708

it's better to put them in the kick planes, you'll be better imaging.
