I'm moving my Standard CL radio to another car. Got past the security code OK and rewired to make the radio work fine. Problem is the CD, which pull in the CD OK, but cycles every 1 to 2 seconds trying initialized the disk (you can hear the motor mechanism stating and stopping. The display flashes "CD" and "0" in time with the attempts at initialization. CD had worked OK in my Acura.

I opened case and blew away the dust that wasn't there ;-) What next.

Three things I know of cause that problem.
1. using a burned CD
2. a scratched CD
3. a bad power, ground- connection or not enough power to complete the load of the cd so it restarts over and over awaiting the necessary power.
Maybe others have different ideas but I am certain about these three...good luck
