My car is stalling when I start it up after leaving it for 5-10min (engine warmed up). It goes up to idle then immediately the RPMs fall to 0, not withthout a bit of shaking from the engine. If I rev it/ put it in drive immediately, it still shakes a bit but don't stall after revving/ driving for a few seconds. I know theres a check engine code for the EGR. Could a bad/ clogged EGR cause this issue? I plan on replacing the EGR, cleaning the port and replacing the fuel filter as well, I'll keep this post updated.
If you have a DTC for the EGR system it certainly would not hurt to investigate / clean.
In addition, if you have not cleaned the throttle body and / or the IACV, #2 below, recently that also may aid your efforts.
If you need a new IACV rockauto has aftermarket alternatives for a lot less the the $324.52 OEM. Throttle Body - 1997 Acura CL 2 Door PRE3.0 KA 4AT

Thank you for the reply, seeing as I'm already going to remove the manifold I will also clean the throttle body and the IACV as suggested. I'm hoping I don't have to purchase any new parts (besides a new manifold gasket) but if I do I'll check out rock auto/ carparts.com. The car has 116k and a lot of the parts are original. I recently had a fun time with my ignition switch causing the car to shut off while driving (Acura dealership claimed my vehicle had no recall parts LOL), just replaced it anyways and it stopped doing that, So naturally my car has decided to be stalling out for another DIFFERENT reason!
Definitely could be the EGR, a lot of people also had issues with their TPS or IACV sensors going bad. Another culprit could be the ignition switch. However if you have a code for EGR that is the most likely issue
