Hey, I recently bought a 97 3.0CL nd i've been looking foreward to doing some stuff to it. I recently put in a new deck and was wondering what other things could i do myself

Heres what i want to do:
-HID Transplant
-Window Tinting on all the windows (Limo?Where can i get this done?)
-Body Kit all around ( I've been looking for one but it doesnt seem like there are that many for CL's)
-Repaint (This car has all these little specks on the hood is that normal? nd how can i prevent it once i get it repainted)
-Rims&Drop (Looking to do this eventually, but dont have the money right now)
-Repaint emblems
-Replace all speakers, amp them, and 10" sub?x2?

Yea, I was wondering if anyone could tell me wheres a good place to get some of these things done, or if I could get it done myself. I have all summer cuz im still in high school and yea I was wondering what was DIY and about how much would all this run me?? I live in San Mateo, its about 20 mins from San Fransisco and 30 from San Jose.

i think you should make sure you have your engine oil changed, tranny oil changed and what not before thinking of modding. do the necessary first...it'll prolong ur car...u wouldnt want to mod it and make it perfect and then have the engine or tranny die on you..(you DO KNOW the reputation the 3.0 tranny has dont u?)

 

i'm putting all my $$ into mods and my 3.0 just fell apart. when she's all tuned up ready to go, ebay or check out the blackmarket for the best deals on hid's,rims,springs.where are you located?tints/paint look around your area for a good shop.as for a bodykit ww makes the front lip but there kinda hard to come buy and alittle pricey.there is another lip they have also. the rear no matter what has to be custom.a few members have done ww rear lips off 94-97 accords.this is what i'm in the process of doing.the rest diy....

Welcome to the site.. and please, make sure she has all regular maintenance done before you start throwing down cash on mods. I know its a pain (trust me, I had bad CV joints for a long time before I fixed and spent money on mods instead) but it will be worth it in the long run.

Well, I changed the engine oil the minute i bought the car, what other maintenance do i need to be thinkin about?

 

check the tranny fluid... if its a dark murky color then you may want to change that... if its a light color, then you're in the clear.

Other 3.0 owners will explain more thoroughly... that's their field of knowledge, not mine. lol.

first mod shoud be CAI imho because its hella cheap. Only way i would get tint is if it is silver like lexus tint. gotta keep your car lookin clean since its a luxury vehicle

alot of the parts are off of the 94-97 honda accord..

Ive been wondering, do the 94-97 accord parts fit in the CL?? like head lights and tail lights maybe??? bceause if i want to HID transplant i need projectors? and not reflectors? and im pretty sure the stock CL has reflectors? yea, well i also wanted angel eyes which will run me up more >.< yea well tell me what accord parts i can use that would amazing. And rawbeanz, the headlights and taillights from accords do NOT fit

 

the noob ness is giving me a head ache. look at your car and then look at an accord, do you REALLLY think the tailights from an accord are going to fit?

Is it possible for me to replace the rear speakers in a 1999 cl with ease? I would like to save the money on installation and buy a nicer set but if it is too hard then I would rather have it done. I have the Bose system but I want more. Thanks.

Can you splice into the rear speakers and run another amp?? I had a Diamante done that way. Only thing that sucked was there was power constantly running to it. when you turn the radio off you hear a noise but I just rocked it volume down and had no problems
