100 Watt bulb in low beam socket?? = ?? Can I??
Hey, im wanting to do the 9005 conversion again...my other bulbs burnt out...but last time, i went from the OEM 55Watt bulb to a 9005 65 watt bulb...
now i bought new 9005 bulbs but i didnt realise their 100Watts...
Could i still use the 100 watt bulbs? Or will they ment the wiring harness and screw everything up??
The bad news is i gotta find some use for them because i cant take them back. . .

u put 100 watt bulbs in there and be prepared to have probs. worse case ur harness and wiring catch fire or melt. myabe even ur housings. don't do it. 100 watt is almost double the load the oem wiring was designed for. some ppl have gotten away with it, but lots haven't. at least uograde ur wiring harness and then u just have to worry bout ur oem housings.

I don't know about 100watt bulbs but I actually have used 85watt 9006 in my low beam for over 8 months with absolutely no prob... And I have AEM pulleys too!! Just dims alittle at idle though..

hmm with a regular light bulb you can use one rated higher cause it still only gets the fixture rated power but i guess the car electical system is different.
