Can we hope for new style changes in 2012 TSX?
Acura has already made some changes for its 2012 TL. Do you think we can hope for perhaps a more sleek 2012 TSX...where one can see over its front hood?

I think it's definitely possible. If you look at all the "changes", it doesn't seem like they changed any of the sheet metal. All they changed were bumper covers and inside trim (which also was already available on the Euro Accord).
The rear A/C vent I would say is something that's a little more substantial.
Of course, I'm basing all this on what I've seen on the Internet and at the dealership. Although I think it's very possible that say, an '09 bumper cover would fit on a '11, it hasn't been definitively proven, yet.
Edit: another thing that suggests sheet metal is the same is the availability (or lack thereof) of the Aero kit for the '11. The PDF catalog suggests that this exists, but neither Acura.com nor estore.honda.com carry this item for the '11. I am guessing that dealerships just install the prior year model's kit, if requested.

I was speaking with my sales guy about a month ago regarding the refresh and he stated that Acura/Honda are pushing to start a four year cycle between model generations. IF that winds up being true, you could expect a new gen TSX in 2013 with a refresh in 2015.

As for the OP's question, it doesn't matter if the TL's MMC is next year...you can only look at the TSX's generation if you're interested in what's going to happen to the TSX. It's like VTEC...civics got it a couple of years before the accord (accords had to wait until their next generation, which was in 1994).
I don't think there will be anything happening in 2012 for the TSX. If anything, it will be very minor. For example, for the 1G TSX, the MMC was in 2006, and the only thing that changed in 2007/2008 was TPMS.

2008 was when the current generation (2009+) TSX and TL were available. New TL and TSX will appear in 2013 as 2014 Models so that would still make it a 5 yr design cycle.
3rd Gen TSX is still up in the air since there will be a sub-TSX model coming out:

With the sub-TSX coming out most likely with the 2.4L I4, Acura will have 3 sedans in thier line up (actually 4 including the RL). I think the sub-TSX will become the new entry level offering leaving the TL as the flagship/cash crop. The RL/Legend will still be at the top as the ultra luxury model. The TSX will become the redheaded middle stepchild and I think it will disapppear so it won't be stepping on the TL's toes.

talked to someone at Acura client services. Nothing definate on what is in store for future acura models-speculation for now-He did say his personal opinion-why would they get rid of the tsx since it is a good seller. Will have to wait to find out.

The shield was only originally designed for one and only one vehicle. I think it was the pre-refresh MDX. All the higher ups thought it was cool so they told the designer to apply it to the rest of the line up. Designer said it was only meant for one car, but higher ups said to put it on all the cars anyway...

I think the new entry level Acura will be out in 2013 so they would probably not release both a new model and a 3G TSX in the same year.

Being built in Japan was most definitely a plus for me as well, but it also is making the car more expensive than it otherwise could be. The next TSX (if it keeps the name) will be Civic based rather than Accord. This isn't a stretch at all as the TSX was really a bit of an upscale RSX sedan. There has been such an outcry to get something like the RSX back, this makes complete sense for Acura and will also create more difference between the TSX and TL. So yes, the TSX as the Accord Euro will soon be dead just as the Honda Odyssey changed from the jdm model to something designed for North America.
With Honda's statement to be fuel economy leaders in three years, I expect the new car to include their direct injection engine as well as their new CVT. Look at Subaru that has delayed getting more gears in their automatics as the CVT is now becoming the standard for the 4 cylinder engines. I foresee that the 6sp auto will continue in V6 models at least for now.
With the TSX going to be Civic based, the wagon will definitely be killed for Acura. This is another reason I jumped on a wagon while it's still available. There were recent statements by Honda about the abysmal sales of the Accord Crosstour and plans to rethink it. My guess (hope anyways) is that they make an actual Accord wagon on the next generation. With Hyundai considering a Sonata wagon and history of US Accord wagons, it's not a stretch at all. Gaining a usable rear space compared to the raked butt of the current Crosstour + losing heavy AWD and truck stance will give Honda a vehicle more differentiated from the Pilot and CR-V. I'm hoping that there will be enough wagon demand to show the higher ups that it's at least a better move than the Crosstour.

Well I assume most have seen the announcements by now. Although they don't definitely state the TSX will be dead, it certainly seems to be a foregone conclusion. I'm sure they don't want to kill sales in the next year + that it is still around.
If the new TL were a little more practical (rear seat fold down) and more affordable I'd buy it. I'm not sure I'd be interested in the new entry level sedan. Not an upgrade from the 1G.
The TSX was Acura's 2nd biggest seller recently. I hope they are making the right decision. Again if they wanted to clean up the line up they could have done away with the RL. The RL will still be a car based on compromise. Who buys a flag ship based on compromise? The S-class? The 7-series? The A8? Nope. A reworked RL will sell no better then the current RL and will not measure up to the competition. Heck they aren't even trying to.

3 sedan strategy
ILX
Next Gen TL
Next Gen RL/Legend
Which means the TSX goes to the chopping block. All hope is not lost though as it might be reborn as the next gen Honda Accord. Another glimmer of hope: the current Accord coupe platform is VERY similar to the TSX...
