I believe the 06 Navi has the better voice system & the better screen quality than a 02 Navi so.... I want to take my trip computer out and have a Navi with the XM button installed. I also want to have the backup camera that's on the 09 TL to be installed as well. It is super bright so it very easy to see at nite unlike some other backup cameras (07 Lexus rx).It very clear & it has the guide markers to assist you . I love that feature.Does anyone know if I can make this dream happen?

 

Sure its possible. It will just cost you a ton of money. Or you better have some electrical skills.

 

I don't think I'd ever attempt this personally but I'm sure it could get done.

Yes they're different. The wiring itself is completely different. I've looked into it for my RL, upgrading to the 3rd generation Navi system. I'm in the same boat as you.

 

And about the rear view camera. It is not as slick as the camera is in my 2004! It takes time to come on when shifting to rev and I swear there is a lag from real time. My son noticed people on a walkway in the screen had actually stepped off the walk and were actually in back of my car! I no longer do quick reverse maneuvers as I had grown used to for the safety of other people near my car...
