I traded my 01 Cl for this 02 MDX & after a month it started with this trans issue. A& B Hydraulic control sensor's should be changed. Completed that & it was fine for a month & then it started down shifting really hard while I was doing over 55 which was very dangerous. So, we then tried to replace all 4 hydraulic sensors & it still would jerk & act up. SO... I'm currently considering a new trans for about 1400.00 What do you all think Is it worth it. I love my Acura's but, with all that I have read it seems like the MDX's are the worse.

 

Honestly, $1400 isn't too bad for a complete rebuild. But instead of rebuilding the problematic 2002 MDX tranny maybe try to source an 04-06 one?

trade in time.. if you can drive it there they'll give you money for it. Also, prestige acura had a great deal for a new tranny, you should PM them if you do plan on a r&r.

edit: also.. do you tow at all?
