Hey guys... since we don't have access to the TSBs for now, I was wondering if anyone saved the TPMS TSB for 05 MDXs or knows what could be wrong.

The TPMS light (not the lights by each tire on the display) is coming on intermittently on my wife's 05 MDX. It usually comes on after about 10mins of driving and all tire pressures are fine. I wanted to check out what the TSB had to say... or if anyone knows what could be wrong, please let me know! Thanks!

 

Since you have an 2005 MDX, one of your tpms could have a death battery and tpms is gone. You would need the dealer or some tire shops that have the tpms scanner to determine with tpms is bad and replace it with Honda's OEM tpms, don't buy cheap after market ones.

 

It could be more than a sensor. Could be an initiator (receiver). Actually it could be several things. The indicator light comes on when the main unit detects low pressure or no signal. The best way to determine the actual cause is to buy a scanner capable of retrieving TPMS codes or, as previously mentioned, take it to a shop that is capable. The most common cause is a dead battery in the sensor or one that was damaged by an tire installer or flat-repair additive (fix-a-flat).

 

just giving an update in case anyone encounters the same problem. brought it in to the dealer and one of the tire sensors went bad. dealer replaced it under the extended warranty. thanks acurahondaoemsj and Cochise111 for your help!
