switching from a tls to an MDX...maybe
hey fellas-
I am looking at possibly switching from an 08tls to an MDX tech pack or higher.
Unfortunately i am not able to buy this one new like my TL because im going to take a big hit on the TL...
Anyway, one of the cars i am considering is a Sport/ent with 50k, i think they want 27. What do you think? I am a rep so i drive about 40k so i need to make sure the MDX can handle alot of miles like classic honda acura...
Anything else that i might want to know about the car in general before i switch?
Im trying to find one between 20 and 30k miles.
I get 22mpg avg in my TL WHICH i think is terrible considering i drive 75% hwy cruising. what are you guys getting AVG...or if there are any reps out there driving mostly hwy what are you getting....?
Thanks,

Well in my 04 i am averaging about 24 mpg. Most of my driving is on the highway. I think you will be happy with the switch but if you don't mind me asking, what is the reason for the switch?
I have heard nothing but good things about the 2nd gen MDX, and it does have the classic Honda reliability.

MDX is a van platform, a family SUV, a hauler, a fun car but way slower than TL-S which I've driven the '08 couple months back. This TL got some serious speed & felt so light. I wouldn't trade the TL-S if I were you. Infact, why not keep TL & add MDX to your list.

I just got about 23mpg on a 4,000 mile road trip in the MDX I was getting closer to 32 in the TL on the same trip.
I would say unless you think you need an SUV, stay with the TL-S.
