I have Remote Starter form Acura, and I'm little disapointment. When I start engine using Remote Starter than I can't open the door using button on my remote control car. It is not working. When I using key to open the door (regular one) engine stops. Dealer told me that this is normal. If you start engine using remote starter to get to my car I have to stop engin using remote starter and then I will be able to open the door using standard remote control car.
Somebody can confirm that this Acura remote starter is working like that...

Wow that sounds odd...can you unlock the car first and then use the remote starter (i.e reverse the order)?

 

That is normal, your dealer should have explained how the system works before you bought it... on the bright side they can't void your warranty with an electric related problem since it is oem.

Problem is it is Accura that does not "Get-It". It should be at least as handy as my $200 after market installed in my Chevy truck. Like Hold brake pedal turn and remove key while pressing start button will keep engine running so I can run into a store. Not the Acura though...
