Price for new 2011 w/ Tech Package

I am a very happy owner of a 2005 TL. I am planning to add a 2011 MDX w/ Tech Package in Southern California.

Of the nine dealerships I contacted, the best price I have been quoted is $42,745 which is supposedly $100 over invoice. This includes destination charges and is before tax, license and doc fees.

Sounds like a good deal about $4400 under MSRP. What do you think?

2011 MDX is out for sale already? Are you sure? Price you've been quoted sound like for the 2010 MDX.

pricing

The 2011 pricing is not out yet. I am a dealer in Atlanta. It isn't here yet. He is probably guessing a little.

Yub, pricing is not out for the 2011 yet. I don't think the 2010 will be at that price, at least not the $4400 off Msrp

2011's are already out. When I purchased my 2010 they were on the lots of two dealerships. (2 weeks ago)

The price you are being quoted sounds like a new 2010.

2011s are here

No, it's not a 2010. The 2011s are here in SoCal. Quotes on 2010s are only $100-$300 less.

Based upon the feedback here, I am getting a good deal and plan to buy it tomorrow.

My dealer in Indy has a dozen or so '11s in stock. Why aren't you looking to buy a '10 and save a bunch of $$$$? From what my dealer told me you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a '10 and an '11.

Originally I was searching for a 2010 model. All the quotes I got were approx $400 diff in price between the 2010 and 2011 models. The main difference between the 2 is the 1.9 apr only applies to 2010 models (something to consider). However, if you planning to keep the vehicle for a while the 2011 model will cost significantly more when selling.

Only a little more for a 2011

I found through researching this a few different ways that getting a 2011 instead of a 2010 is only $300 to $500 more which is well worth getting a car that is one year newer and recently from the factory.

You are right in terms of looks and features: the 2010 and 2011 are virtually identical.

The interest rate could be higher on the 2011 MDX v.s 2010 MDX if you are financing.

I think Aspen with Taupe is only avaliable in Advance pkg or entertainment pkg,

for TECH pkg, isn't White only come with parchment (tan) interior ? ... that is the reason I did not go with white ...

What is you OTD price?

Otd - $47,175?

With Orange County, CA 8.75% taxes, registration of around $570 and another $125 or so of misc fees, I should be out the door for around $47,175 which is very close to MSRP of the vehicle itself!

My purchase will take place in the next 1-2 weeks (I hope).

Price mistake?

The sales guy called me and said they made a 'mistake' on the price. They had quoted $42,745 two different times to me via e-mail. He said that he needs to talk with his manager to see what price they can give me now.

I may have to go with the second best dealer offer of $43,286 with an 'out the door' price of about $47,699 which is about $500 more than the 'mistaken' dealer quote.

Stay tuned.....

I just purchased a 2011 White/taupe interior MDX with Tech for $42,000 (including doc and destination). This deal included a trade in of a 1998 Acura Integra with 172K miles, which I suspect will be sold at wholesale for $500. I purchased the consumer reports "bottom line price" which was close to the price on truecar.com. I recall the true invoice price was $41,877. There is about a $1200 dealer holdback, both on the 2010 and 2011.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I can't get anyone under 'official' invoice on the 2011 of $43,286 here in SoCal. My latest is $47,790 out the door which is still a pretty good deal.

Now they just need to get my vehicle in their upcoming shipment.

They can't do that. Tell them to honor the price they gave you. I hope you have it in writing. Tell them you gonna write bad reviews about their dealership on every website possible and you gonna call Acura to file a complaint. Trust me they will honor it in a second.

All done - $43K for the MDX, $47.5K out the door

Dealer #2 came through and I made my purchase today for $43077 on the 2011 MDX w/ Tech Package with Aspen Pearl White exterior and Taupe interior. I am very happy with my purchase and the deal.

We are now a complete Acura family: 2005 TL and 2011 MDX.

Would my front wind deflector fit the 2011 from my 2009 car? How about the roof deflector. They are two months old and dealer cost $500 to buy install...

I am trading my '09 for a new 11 soon. I got the best '09 [sport entertainment] available but it did not have the anti crash gear in it or the newest Blutooth. And the 6th gear sounds cool also. I will check my dealer for 11's...

Glendale made the best deal for me in 2005 when I bought my TL.

It had a lot to do with each dealer's current inventory. Those with what I wanted had the lowest prices, those who didn't have what I wanted had very good prices, but weren't willing to go low enough since they didn't have stock on hand. I would certainly advise anyone in the market for a new MDX to go with the 2011 over the 2010 since the prices are almost the same right now.

This time, for the MDX, I was able to get the best deal from Acura of Riverside. They have about 24 new MDX 2010 and 2011 vehicles and are making good deals. They are very good people to work with as well. We had a very pleasant buying experience!

I have almost 79000 miles. No issues. Only performed regular maintenance plus brakes (once), tires (once) and battery (once).

I expect the same stellar performance from my new MDX!!!

Traded my 05 TL for a 10 MDX. Same experience with the TL - 45000 miles. No issues. Only performed regular maintenance plus tires (once).

I would have to say similar, except for a few nagging issues. Front passanger plastic carpet trim piece continues to "unsnap" out of place. PIA. Also when first delivered it had window channel rattling which also plagued my '03 Accord EXV6. I also have numerous steering wheel lights that have burned out, another PIA

Apparently Palladium/Ebony is a hot combination up here in Seattle. They have been very difficult to locate, and when they are found, they're usually already marked sold. The price looks to be 45K before T&L. I guess that's what happens when you try to get a low-volume car during the month it is released (the 2011).
