Unhappy Please help with traffic issue

Hi,

I am having troubles with receiving traffic information on my Acura MDX 2007 navigation.

I bought an XM Traffic subscription about 3 weeks ago, could see the traffic display after they sent a reset signal for about 20 minutes. Then traffic went away and never came back.

I called them and they are looking into this (I am waiting a call back from them within a week).

In the mean time I would like someone, preferably in the Chicago land area, to check and let me know the configuration of the XM Traffic Channel in their Acura MDX.

Please help me .

To do that please press MAP/GUIDE + CANCEL + MENU buttons simultaneously. Then go to XM (HIP) submenu. Then to XM (HIP) ECU submenu. The please select #6 Traffic channel. And please let me know what numbers do you have next to "SID :" and "App ID :".

Of course I don't know if that can help me, but anyway , thanks ahead.

Is your MDX still under warranty? Maybe the dealership can check out your XM system to verify everything is working correctly. The XM folks don't seem very customer service friendly. The will verify they have your money, they have the correct radio code, and the signal is being sent out to your area and that is it.

I know the answer to this is yes; but, is your Navi system zoomed out enough to view XM traffic?

Both yes. I was already on the dealership. They took a look at the navi system, unplugged battery for 10 or 15 minutes (which did not help), and told me that XM Radio works w/o any problems because we can listen to XM promotions.

I am still waiting for the ("escalated" per person I talked with) call from XM support.

Use XM channel 135 as well as traffic display. It is better than nothing and gives the Chi/Det traffic update. Hope your problem is resolved.

Thanks. They did some Acura recall (some software updates) and traffic magically started working the day after recall.
