Oil question

Has anybody used Castrol GTX Magnatec on their MDX?.

Any argument for or against?.

What do you expect to hear? Any modern oil that meets the auto standards specified in your owner's manual is going to be fine. Unless there are any oil scientists in the room, any answer people give is going to be nothing you can rely on. Unless a lab analysis was done "the oil is great" is quantified how?

OP, it doesnt matter the brand or the marketing terms.

just grab 5 quarts of whatever oil is on sale that meets the viscosity in the owners manual

I do prefer synthetic made from quality base stock. Cheap stuff or blends are not worth my money.

for the regular-everyday-consumer, the blends will be sufficient enough!
