Noise when accelerating

The Power Steering pump and the battery were recently replaced in my 2019 MDX. Since then I've noticed that the car makes a grinding/whining sound when I'm accelerating and even when the car is stopped at a light. It's coming from the front of the car. What could it be?

Sounds like maybe they didn't bleed the system properly. It needs to be vacuum bled, or it will continue to make noise and could damage steering components if left as-is.

I agree with @mossman77. Air in the pump will usually make a terrible racket. First check to see if the reservoir is filled properly then look for foam, and indication that air is being agitated in the pump. When properly filled, turn the steering wheel back and forth, lock tolock repeatedly until the noise diminishes. DO NOT HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL HARD AGAINST THE LOCK!!!

Unfortunately, that typically doesn't work on this vehicle (been there, tried that several times). The only thing that resolved it was vacuum bleeding.
