New MDX Owner

Hi, we just picked up a 2010 MDX with Tech package for the wife.

I've been on this forum for a while (on the TL side), but I came over here to check out the DIYs.

Sadly (maybe I am looking in the wrong place), it seems we don't have to many of them. And the ones we do have, are mostly broken links (especially cougerbash.com).

So can anyone provide me a link on how to do the Oil Change and how to replace Brake Pads?

Just trying to prep for the future.

And I already checked the garage and didn't see them (if they were there, the links are broken).

Thanks in advance!

No responses...

Do all of you take your MDX's to the dealer for servicing?

True it is hers.

But, if I didn't try and figure this stuff out, I guarentee you she would take it to the stealership for every service.

I guess I'll read up on the Pilots and see if I can find the info I want. Similar car mechanically...

Congrats on the new MDX!

I think the oil change and brake pads are pretty straightforward. DIY's w/ pics would help, but if you've done this before, I'm sure you'll be fine.

SACTL, welcome to the MDX side of the garage

Truth is, there was an MDX board that for years was the sole source for MDX DIYs, FAQs, etc. Acurazine is only a recent source of MDX information.

I PM'ed you the source...every time I reference the source in a thread, a moderator removes my thread claiming it's a competing source of Acura info.

Anyway, check your PM...

Oil change, and brake pad replacement are roughly the same on all cars.
