MDX Console Cover Upholstery is stretching

The nice pebble-grain vinyl covers on the console lids of my ‘12 MDX Tech are stretching out of shape - apparently from resting our elbows on the console during extended road trips. It isn’t tearing, but MAY be separating from its fabric backing.
Anyone know of a fix? I’m considering a hair dryer or heat gun, knowing that SOME plastics will shrink up with the application of heat, but also don’t want to make it worse trying to find out.
Id love to hear if any of you have seen this and are aware of a fix!

I bought a cover from ebay that's "microfiber leather" for $30 and had it installed for $40. Overall looks amazing and matches well! Acura's armrests aren't the best for longevity!

Thank you all for your very helpful responses! I checked the eBay listing, and the price is now down to $24.99 with free shipping.

One thing that had me slightly concerned was that the eBay covers were only listed for the “Base” model, and mine has the Tech package, so I wasn’t sure the covers would be the same. However, I checked the ‘10 MDX sales brochure (mine is actually a ‘10, not a ‘12 as I had misstated in my opening post), and only the seat leather is upgraded with the Tech package, so these parts should match perfectly. I was also able to blow up the eBay photo and the texture also looks like a perfect match.

Thanks again! I’m ordering them right now.

I'm looking into replacing the center console arm rest covers, but I'm not sure how to remove them. Do they just pop off? Any tips are appreciated, thanks!

Here's how to separate them, but you should watch several youtube videos and see how to reinstall them. Different people put them back differently.

I did the Driver's side 1st:
I glued 4 wooden blocks of wood to the inside of one piece, so I could screw the other half in place. Ultimately, I sandwitched the fake leather, between the to pieces.

I repeated for the passenger's side.

Where did you get the cover installed?

I had the center console armrest done at an automotive upholstery shop, it was real cheap and I unscrewed the cover lid and left it with them. If you live in Seattle I can tell you which shop I used.

I just went to a local upholstery shop and dropped em off in the morning and picked them up before closing and installed them in the parking lot.
