How do you remove the tail lights from a 2007 MDX?

I'm trying to replace the rear sidemarker lights in my 2007 MDX. I can get the two bolts out with no troublee, but no mater how hard I pull on the assembly, it won't budge loose from the pillar. I tried to insert a covered screwdriver between the body (paint) and the lens, but was afraid I would crack it or chip the paint. Any advice?

Serpicode,

Just to be clear, you are referring to ref #3/10 in this tail light diagram correct?

If so then it looks like there's a tail light grommet (ref #27) that has to be removed in addition to the two tail light bolts that you have removed. Remove this grommet and just pull hard- the tail light should pop right off
