HFL module issue

I know there are some posts out there, even a sticky not for the HFL module issue but I haven’t seen this specific question asked or answered: Can the HFL module be removed and be left disconnected for the time being, until you get the replacement module, and still be able to use the radio? I would think yes, but wanted to know if anyone has done this without any issues or continuous battery drainage since I know once these HFL modules go bad, they are vampires when it comes to battery drainage. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, you can unplug it permanently and it won't affect anything other than the Bluetooth function and the related buttons on the steering wheel.
It's been disabled for me for a years and I don't plan to change it.

I appreciate the input. I figured as such but just wanted to see if someone had done it and if there was any issues that came with it. Thank you for the input.
