help with USB "unplayable file"

Any thoughts on how to solve "unplayable file" when trying to play from a USB stick? Some songs play, others do not. They are all mp3 format. The usb is fat32, and I have made sure there is no spaces or characters in the names of the songs. Any ideas? Thanks!

I suspect it may be format of the mp3.
I tend to have the best luck when keeping bit rate constant
I think I've seen some AAC files also show up as unplayable on my usb sticks.

I have tried many different methods including AAC conversion and the easiest is to just use an iPod as it plays all songs flawlessly

AAC formats works every time for Sticks.....I use 32GB sticks and never have a problem with AAC format. Can't say that for MP3 format on sticks. MP3 format is prone to the "Unplayable file" on sticks. However, MP3s format is good for DVDs....but they only hold 4.5GB. Something about the Acura music system.
