foglight
Never touched the original headlights. Those are the stock HID bulbs that came with the MDX. I did however change the parking light (little lights above the headlights) and DRLs with some 5k LEDs from www.v-leds.com.
Now I have 6000K for the headlights and the foglight. Perfectly balanced in color.

Read nolonyc's post closer.....he said..... never touched the original.....meaning he left them stock. He didn't say......never touch the original......as in an "instruction".
I got that part bro, and I meant why not! Where did you get the K&N air filter for the 2010 MDX ?
thats what im pickin up tomorrow 6000.....they have a nice color to it
Blackonblack and I have some pictues and information about this on the following thread https://acurazine.com/forums/1-2g-mdx-2001-2013-166/g-001-led-mdx-2007-2010-a-788447/

This is the HID kit

I also got these DRL modules to step up the voltage to the full 14vdc needed to get the full brightness from the LEDs.

WARNING Dominik... the v-led technician warned me that if I used the DRL modules, I would also need some in line resistors to fool the DRL system in thinking the regular halogen bulbs are still there. I decided not to buy the in line resistors due to the lack of space behind the fogs and drls. BlackonBlack installed the same DRL leds without DRL modules. According to him, his MDX is not getting the DRL error message like I am with the modules installed. When I get some spare time to play around with the DRLs again I will remove the modules too see if I also get the same results as blackonblack. The DRL error message is not a big deal to me but it might bother you.

Yes I installed the premium 5k HID kit from v-leds. I've had many HID kits before, but one thing I liked about this kit is that it has very small ballasts. The space behind the fogs/drls is tight and the small ballasts made it easier to install.
I think it comes down to personal preference. I had 6k bulbs on my 04 TL and I liked the way it looked. I want to keep the MDX looking as close to stock as possible. At the same time I want it to look a little different from the average MDX.
I was a bit early in adding that to my sig. I added it and then went to order but K&N said it isn't developed yet. Acura tweaked the engine from 2009 to 2010 although it is the same size. So K&N couldn't confirm yet that the 2009 would work. I don't know why it wouldn't but I didn't want to chance it. We're still running stock at this point. I'll update my sig. Good catch.
Hey Dominik, I think the 07 MDX has the same kind of Fog and DRLs bulbs as the 10 MDX. I changed the parking lights and the DRLs with some 5k leds. The fogs got replaced with a 5k HID kit.

I am happy with the leds i put as my DRLs. Leds don't have a lot of lumens but they are bright and can be seen in the daylight which makes it perfect for DRLs. If you want to see how they look with and without the DRL module check out this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788447
Well the DRL plugs on the MDX don't provide the voltage needed to power on the HID ballasts. If you really want to put HIDs on your MDX's DRLs you should send v-leds an email. Ask them if the DRL modules would be able to help you for that configuration.

Yes we replaced the halogen bulbs that came with the MDX's DRLs with leds. The only difference is that I have leds with the DRL modules and blackonblack does not.
The car's manual actually shows you how to do it. Turn the wheel to one side, take off two clips, one screw and your pretty much in. To make it more comfortable for yourself you might want to take off a couple of more bolts and clips under the front bumper.
I actually installed the DRLs and Fogs on separate occasions. The first time I followed the directions in the manual. The DRLs are further away so you really need to make the opening bigger by removing the bottom clips and bolts (10mm). The second time I just removed the two clips and the screw since the fogs are closer to the outside.

Did the h11 HID bulb fit perfectly? I find it hard to lock the h11 Vleds HID kit in place. did you replaced the rubber o-rings?
The HID bulbs from v-led aren't L shaped like the factory halogens, so it was a little harder to twist in place. I have driven through some nasty flooded areas and so far they still light up without any problems. I put the ballast as high as I could and tie wrapped the wires away from the floor area inside fog/drl cavity. We just got some crazy rain over here in NYC. This weekend I'm going to take a look inside and see how everything it holding up.
I took the 0-ring off the old bulbs and used it on the HIDs. I had to slide the rings all the way down to the base of the new HID bulbs. I felt around to make sure it was sealed and called it a day.

Yes I still have the error, but it doesn't bother me. Before I purchased the leds and modules I emailed a v-led technician and he warned me about the error. To correct it I would have to put some resistors in the circuit.
Did you tried not using the module? I want to get this bulb but worried about the DRL error. I wonder why 2010blackonblack has no error when he installed his LED DRL...thanks
