Concerns with overfilling rear differential?

Replaced rear differential fluid (DPSF) in '10 MDX. Manual calls for 2.6 qts, and I removed 2.5 qts.

However, while refilling I addd 3.5 qts. I was backed up on a ramp and waiting for it to spill out the fill hole and lost track of how much I was adding.

So my question is: Will an extra quart of fluid in the rear differential negatively affect anything?

I do not know but would certainly not take a chance as these differentials are highly engineered and complicated. Just park her on the level, remove the drain plug and let the excess (if you in fact have excess) come out. Will take just a few minutes for peace of mind.
