Tech package
I would say in most cases 'NO'. As the tech package equipment has various harnesses, buttons, navigation and software that would make retrofitting those into a Non-Tech model would cost thousands.
That is the key word, COST. It is possible but time and money will determine if its worth it for you.
I would just look for a tech package if that is what you really want, but if you dont need the tech package stuff, get a portable GPS or use a smartphone are what some base owners use.

It would very hard to add an aftermarket tech type package without it looking like aftermarket because of the dash design. Purchasing new/used OEM tech items to install on a base would be expensive and labor will kill the cost effectiveness. It would be cheaper and the MDX will have more value if you purchase a tech model from the start. Some folks complain about the Navi system; but, it takes care of me about 99% or the time in all 3 of my vehicles (smartphone for the other >1%). Items include with the tech model are:
• Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition
• Acura/ELS Surround 410-watt Premium Audio System with 10 speakers, hard disk drive (HDD) media storage, in-dash CD, DVD-Audio player and Dolby Pro Logic II
• AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic and Weather
• Traffic Rerouting
• Multi-view rear camera
• GPS-linked, solar-sensing, tri-zone automatic climate control system
• Song By Voice
• USB Audio Interface with iPod integration
• Bluetooth Audio
• Milano premium leather-trimmed interior

the tech pkg is not one of those "dealer installed" options. the car comes that way from the factory. as others have said, it's not cost effective and the aftermarket in dash nav systems (that look factory) aren't great systems. i know someone who had one installed into a mid range CRV (didn't want certain things in the top end model) at time of purchase by an aftermarket installer. the system is not nearly as nice as the factory system.
