Check engine oil light

I have an 07 which had over 50k miles and it's out of warranty. Anyways, the check engine oil light keeps coming on and off while I'm driving. Other lights had came on such as trailer tow hitch but not as often as engine oil. It's driving me crazy. I had searched through the forum but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance

I think it's supposed to drive you crazy because you're car is telling you it needs to be serviced. Interesting were we are with cars these days, you're annoyed by a reminder that your oil might be low (if there is such a light on the dash)?

oh, the modern car. We have a warning light for everything. I just hope they all don't go off at the same time. It would look like a Christmas Tree.

It is oil pressure sensor switch. Replace it then it will be fine. I change mine at 91k. here is information how to do it

http://www.autoserviceprofessional.c...-switch?Page=1

The sensor is located above oil filter, toward the driver side. it located right next to green color oil pressure sensor
