2011 MDX seat and steering wheel memory

My wife had some service done on her MDX the other day where they(Acura dealer) replaced the motors for both mirrors because they would tilt down and would not tilt back up automatically. When she got the suv back the steering wheel and seat would not move out of the way automatically like they use to. For example when you put the key into the ignition the steering wheel would tilt down and move to its position and the seat would move also. So when you parked the car and turned it off the steering wheel would move up and out of the way and the seat would slide back to make it easy to get into and out of the car. This doesn't work anymore and when she talked to the dealership they say this was never a function/option the MDX has.

does anyone know about this option? Just looking for help.

Check manual Page 108. "Auto Tilt & Telescope Steering Wheel" -->ON. Under the Memory position link in the multi-information display on dash.

I see the option you're talking about and we have that set correctly (the steering wheel does move up and away) but what about the seat? does it not move back also? It use to before it was serviced......

Do you think the seat moving back when you turn the car off was a glitch?

I know you can set the steering wheel to tilt/move with the M.I.D. setting; but, I don't think the seat is designed to do so? I keep my seat all the way back/down and my wife has the seat all the way up. It has never adjusted the seat except when we unlock the door with a other FOB.

If your vehicle's battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the fuse for the power tilt and telescopic steering wheel is removed, the power tilt and telescopic steering wheel system needs to be reset when you reconnect the battery or install the fuse.

Insert the key into the ignition switch, and remove it. The steering wheel automatically moves fully in and up to let you know the system Steering Wheel Adjustments is reset.

My 2010 has the steering wheel move but the seat does not adjust due to starting the car or switching on/off. For the seat to adjust ( and steering and mirrors ), I need to select memory positions 1 or 2 on the drivers door.

And the seats are not supposed to move back on its own when you turn key off it's not a feature.

I wonder if this is a feature in another market? I can see how this would be handy for countries with smaller average height/weight where the seat motor can move with the driver in the seat. I would love it if the seat would adjust when you hit the FOB instead of having to open the door to wait for it to move into position.
