2009 MDX - Check Engine Oil Level

The check engine oil level notification on our MDX shows up often while driving. We checked the dipstick, and the oil level was full. We even checked it again after sitting for several hours, and it was still full. All maintenance has been done at the dealer, and the current oil change is at about 2,500 miles. Our MDX currently has 18k miles. Has anyone else had this issue? An appointment at the dealer has been set up for Wednesday. I'll post an update after the dealer visit.

There's an updated pressure switch for your MDX waiting for you at the dealer.

Hey guys, would the above referenced TSB from June 2011 still be covered today? I have a 08' MDX with navi with approx. 147k miles. I am way outside of my warranty period. With that said, would the dealer cover a new pressure switch for free based on the TSB, or would I have to pay out of pocket?

Had the same problem on my 09 MDX, light and chime would come on sporadically. I measured the resistance at the switch, it was 0.69 ohm, removed the oxidation on the switch contacts by running a test lamp across the switch (used a brake lamp as my load). Light has not come on since. Will report back in a week.

If it doesn't fix the problem, a new switch can be bought for $40 at the honda dealership.
