2002 mdx heater only warm not hot air
My 2000 MDX had no hot air so i start reading and this is what i have checked so far:
1. I think thermostat is ok seeing the engine heats up to the same mark on the temperature gauge and normal and the fans turn on and off as needed.
2. The water control valve along the fire wall is ok seeing it moves when i turn the knob from hot to cold.
3. The blend door linkage on the also moves when the thermostat know is moved.
4. I flushed the system with the prestone chemical cleaner.
5. Both the inlet and outgoing hoses are warm/hot after the engine warms up.
I have not remove the actuator for the blend door (pain in the A**) based on the location so if there are other suggestions on easier possible solutions I could try i'm open to trying it.
Thanks
Bob

You've done everything I would do. Here's a couple other suggestions
1) check if there's any air flow blockage of the hear exchanger. Rare but it's possible some debris blocking the airflow.
2) get a USB endoscope probe camera (they're pretty cheap on eBay ~$12) and use that to see the motion of the mix door. It's far better than trying to take it apart.
