I'm having issues with an 02 touring MDX, twice this week I noticed a 3 second screech and stall after I accelerated from a full stop. Both times this occurred after having driven the car on streets and expressway then parking then when I left the parking lot (AC on)the truck stalled. I still had lights and power but no malfunction indicator light. After the loss of acceleration and the screech everything returns to normal. The other issue I've noticed is that I now get only 16.6 MPG - 1 MPG less that I had 2 wks ago. I haven't noticed anything else unusual though.
Most recently I had the spark plugs and PCV and air filter replaced, and about a month ago I had the trans fluid replaced after I got a code for low trans fluid.
I've read that the 02 MDX has all sorts of problems but I was hoping someone with insight or experience with these symptoms could tell me where to start. The MDX has 107,000miles on it.

You did your 105k service (timing belt / water pump / tb tensioner / drive belts) already right? I hope you did.. anyways.. check the drive belts for wear & look for belt soot on the A/C compressor & alternator housing. Remove the timing belt cover and check the timing belt for any wear / hardening. Could be a bearing / pulley / tensioner / AC clutch.. straining your belts or just a failing belt. Verify this problem occurs with the AC off as well.

When you changed out your ATF did you put in Z1? Do you hear a whine at low speeds? any shakes / hesitation / jerkiness when driving? The 02 has the old tranny design which is prone to problems but I wouldn't necessary point the finger yet with your symptoms.
