the more I see the black chrome, the more I like it, but I am still leaning towards Ti burnt tips. I will need to see the chrome in person to make a final decision as I have already seen what Ti burnt tips look in person. I am just afraid that the black crome will just disappear when coupled with my aspec kit.

I am looking for a supplier of Ti tips that will sell small quantities. The tips coming in are custom rolled stainless that will be black chrome plated.

Black chrome, for base TL.

LOL, funny, I hit the right button, and multi-quote isn't working...for some reason page 12 is giving me all kinds of issues...

in any case, I will try to get some measurements on the cut-outs, though they may be done in the dark, after my kids go to bed...or, with a kid hanging from each arm and one wrapped around my head...not sure which way would be more likely to yield something accurate...

I love those!!! How do you think the quality is? Are you still thinking about etching your logo and batch number/product number?

I am sold and I think I want to put my final deposits down

I just knew that you would be able to put together something so perfect

The pipes are due in the 27th of Sept, the tips and mufflers I am not sure on yet. Since I just got the samples.

Yup 2.5" for the base and 3.5" for the type-s.

The quality is great, the tips are flawless and pretty thick. If you don't mind waiting I can get them etched. I am getting on a plane on the 12th so time is a factor.

I dont see why they wouldn't be noticeable. Does the tip stick out more or something?

Here is a crazy question, the big ones wont be able to fit on a base TL even if you get the type s bumper? Or is it just cause its the base vs type S TL?

I have it listed at 1299+shipping. I might decrease it for those that have been waiting.

They will fit if you get the type-s bumper or a A-Spec lip. You will have to cut your stock bumper if you get the aspec lip.

I was originally interested in a base model but then my car was totaled. Now I have a Type S, hence my question.

I know people have mentioned of getting the "Rasp" sound after intalling the pcd's along with the jpipe. My question is if you get the full system when they are ready and available... Will there be that "Rasp"? Some people have corrected the rasp with installing a different can. If we have to do this, is it simple to do or can it be ordered without the cans? Or better yet maybe a sound clip or video of the final product (full system) when it's done? I love the gains but I refuse to have the "Rasp" be apparent coming from my car. Don't want to sound like a cheap ricer.

i hope those base 2.5 tips arent going to look too puny. otherwise good work. I think you should get the etching and product number on there. I am willing to wait however long perfection takes.

So I tried measuring the cutout in the base TL bumper...not easy, it's all compound curves and stuff. And the tip itself, although it sort of follows the angle of the cutout, it's way closer to being even with the bumper on the outside edge, and way more recessed on the inside edge. Also I noted that the exhaust pipe itself never gets near the rubber molding, it pretty much stops behind it and about 2 or 2-1/2 inches from the top of it, then the 2-piece tip takes it into the cutout area.

That said, it's approximately 8-1/2" wide at the bottom, down to 6-1/2" wide at the top. Height I think was 2-1/2", but I need to double-check that.

Overall, it would be better if the person doing the drawing had one to look at, I can supply any specific measurements you want, but describing it fully is beyond me. I do have an angle guage, I'll try to locate it tonight as maybe with that I could do a rough sketch or something.

One final note, the stock tip (at least on my '08) seems to sit too far down; there's about 3/4" from the top of the molding to the top edge of the tip (the lip of which I think is about 3/16", so it's almost an inch to the opening); then the bottom edge hangs down below the cutout altogether, instead of nestling in there snugly. Don't know if that was done due to heat concerns, or my car's just weird, or what...

Not sure yet we wont really know until everything is bolted up. There will also be the option of high flow precats as well.

Any way I could just order those black chrome type s tips? The only thing is that I need a 3" inlet. Is that possible?

do you think this will solve the smeel and the rasp? I can deal with rasp, but I can' deal with the smell (if it's that bad) I am interested! how much would they cost?

also, how big are the tips going to be? I am refering to the dual, not quad. I was hoping in the ball park of 4.5", I am afraid the quads for the base will look too wimpy.

You think two 2.5" pipes will look small?

So I probably should have held off on getting the PCD's I can't see myself installing them if you are going to release a "better" product. Keep me posted on the HFPC.

Richie... you are beginning to cost me an arm and a leg with all your kick ass products

Ritchie,

Do you have a test mule for the system on a TL-S yet? I am among the minority that am dying to hear how everything sounds on the 3.5L before pulling the trigger.
