Cool First time detailer====CBP TSX 06 Please Help

I have been reading and looking for the best products online to detail the whip for the first time. I have seen and read that Meguairs is great but then i read that other stuff is better like 105-? and turtle wax. Whatever,

I went out and bought Meguairs wash, Mother's clay kit, Meg-Carnuba wax, Meg-Tire shine, Meg interior detailer and their quick detailer. I have the microfiber, the cotton applicator orbs, terry towels and even Braso for the tips.

Am i missing something?

What works well for swirls?

Please help i have not opened any product yet, well except for the tire shine.

Missing something: depends on what you want to do. I've got a ton of other stuff but i'm addicted. Water spot removers, detail brushes, Megs APC, Grime Reapers, P21S gel wheel cleaner and TAW, spray waxes, 303 Aerospace protectant, Fade 2 Black for the rubber, glass cleaners, cleaner waxes, microfibers, microfibers, microfibers, etc. etc. etc.

If you want to remove swirls you will need an abrasive depending on how bad the swirls are. Ultimate Compound, Meg 105/205, etc. Then you will need a polish to remove hazing and make the color pop.

After that you apply wax or sealant in however many layers you want.

Tbh though I've tried hand applying the swirl removers and haven't been impressed and if that is you, you'll need a dual action polisher or random orbital to apply the swirl remover.

The swirls are not that deep but they make the car look cheap. I will post before and after pics when i am done with her. Does P21S go all over the car after applied on the tires? Fade 2 black a.k.a Jova, go on the wheel wells?

To really eliminate swirls, you will want to look into a random orbital buffer and some pads

Does anyone know if the sham-wow is really good for drying the car? If not what would be better?

Pass on sham-wow, stick with a quality waffle weave drying towel. They are safer and more effective than a chamois. Sham-wow is a flat surface so when you drag it across your paint, you risk adding small scratches or marring as you dry. A textured towel like the waffle weave is a much safer option.

I'd highly recommend reading over this step-by-step Acura detailing guide and our auto detailing guide for further information on how to get your TSX back to showroom condition.

Hope this helps.

Our Monterey Waffle Weave Microfiber drying towel offers exceptional absorption! All the while, its blend and weave offer total safety while drying. Weaved design includes "pockets" which help hide debris which could cause marring or scratching if dragged across a painted surface, something a Shamwow, Absorber or Chamois could not offer.
