all i use my home computer for is browsing and maybe a little photo editing.
so, i really dont have any uber cool programs that i need
and when did microsoft start calling programs, apps? lol
makes sense cuz they are applications, but i still like calling my windows programs, programs.

Is 10 an “upgrade” only deal or can you do a clean install?

clean installs are welcomed!
there's an FAQ somewhere that shows what all you can do.
i saw some one post it in the Windows10 thread:

Upgrade. But I came across this that supposedly backs into a clean install via update:

Yeah, I click on the icon and it says... "sit back, we will tell you when you can install" or something like that.

Yeah. If you zoom in you can see it's cut from behind. Looks like a very shitty cut job, too. Not to mention I don't even think they used filler around the base because you can kind of still see gaps. SO fucking mad.
I texted him and asked if it was cut, he said > "Yeah I cut it and molded the backing plate for the A into the grille. Some custom sh*t you'll see."
Cool. Some custom shit I didn't want. The cuts behind the A are not even symmetrical.
So I replied > "Better be the best custom sh*t I've ever seen in person because it's not what I wanted. You bitch."
Well I didn't say that last part, but I thought it.

Where is the grille originally from? And is this some local guy doing the job?

BTW I thought this was a pretty decent review. I made it to 12 minutes. I usually hate watching these kind of reviews.

Is it safe to clay bar during washing the car or is it just best to wash/dry/clay?
The W10 music player seems pretty good, integrates into the system volume controller so play/pause/skip controls show up when you change volume. I'm too used to VLC though and will probably stick with that for the controls.

its so stupid.
we dont want to clay a dry car because it will induce marring and scratches...because clay.
you can wash/dry and use a quick detailer as lube.
however, as i mentioned, it has to be just a marketing scheme.
a bottle of QD goes by quick. LOL maybe that's why they call it that.
but yes, you can use water as a lubricant.
what I do is; I wash the car from top to bottom using two bucket method with grit guards. this generally gets ALL the big stuff off and leaves you with clean canvass.
instead of drying, i grab the clay and start working, using my soap bucket as lubricant.
once done, spray down car again with water
or use IPA 50/50 solution
then dry
it has to be done in the shade btw.
I wake up real early

QD has to be one the most wasteful $$$$$$$$$$$$$ product OUT there.

But thanks, I'll probably do that then (wash/clay/dry). Yeah I got some QD that came in the Mothers box, it'd probably only last one car if used for claying lol

Upgraded to 10. So far so good! Couldn't initialize the download on my tablet though. Kept spinning at 0% for over an hour

On the winbook? I upgraded mine last night... so what I had to do was go into the windows directory and move the install over onto a USB flash drive and then run it. The problem is that it runs out of disk space... my winbook is only 8gb.
VTEC just kicked in, yo!
1) Wash with 2 bucket method + grit guard
2) Rinse the car off; no need to dry
3) Clay, using remaining of the soapy water as the lubricant. This I find to be much more effective than simply water. Fuck QD as it's a huge waste of money.
4) Rinse the car off
5) Dry
edit:
Difference being that I rinse the car off before claying. He didn't explicitly say he does this or not, but the more I think of it, I'm sure he rinses it off after washing, before claying with new soap as lubrication.

It was originally the euro rep from eBay with the H center but I purchased the '06 RL Acura symbol and base. This fool totally fucked it up. I had originally dropped it off at the body shop I normally go to but it sat there for over 6 months because they were too busy. Decided to try this guy because he's the one who painted my wheels... but I am dissapoint

Should have just DIY. how hard is it to make a plate??

evo9 did a very good job converting the H badge to an A badge on his 11+ euro grille and his modulo grille. Try asking him for some help?

I'm looking into getting my hood cut up... can't decide whether to pay someone or just do it myself. I'm a little nervous to be honest haha.

mighty car mods did a DIY for installing those quick-access hoodpin things. You can follow their steps related to prepping/cutting.

ahhh true, I've caught most of those videos. Haven't seen that one yet. Ill check it out this weekend. Ever since I saw Defcon do the M3 hood vents I've wanted to do it soooo badly! And now that I have the power to back it up, it actually makes sense.
Although... the engineering side of me REALLY REALLY wanted to rent a flir system to check out the thermal distribution across the engine bay so I could place the vents in the most useful place! I saw an iphone flir system for like $400.... think how useful that would be! I could justify it by use on my car, and then finally on my house to figure out where I can insulate (losing heat, or heat entering the house). I was just worried that I would buy an iphone 6 or 7 or whatever, then it wouldn't be supported anymore and I would be out of luck!

Going to have to wait until next week though, it's been raining here almost everyday

Once I saw some guy driving by with a mattress tied on top of the tonneau cover of his truck. It flew off and fell into a ditch on the side of the road.
