So cu2wagon and Hondo were right. The sedan rear bumper (in my case, modulo ) fits in the cabin of the sedan if I lay the passenger seat all the way down/frontwards, and place the bumper across from the front passenger, to the rear driver side (this is specific to LHD of course). It's a tight fit, but it will do with a tiny bit of bending.
DISCLAIMER: I had to leave my rear driver side window open, as my door definitely would not be able to close without having the bumper stick out of the window .
DISCLAIMER: As Hondo pointed out, right hand side visibility is close to zero as the bumper is in the way. Drive with extra caution if you decide to attempt this!
Thanks all. I'm so glad I didn't have to rent a UHaul van at the last minute. I don't have any friends with trucks/vans . The bumper is on and it looks great. More pics will follow in my build thread after a nice wash/wax.
So what do you all think about oil catch cans ? I have heard that the cheap ones work just as well as the more expensive ones. Your paying for the name not the can, I am sure there has to be some sort of a difference as in quality and material used but I am thinking they all work the same way.
I also read that you can put steel wool inside the can to help catch the oil ?
Just wondering what you all think because I need to get one soon.
^right...another name for a catch can is 'oil separator'
if you google 'oil separator' you'll see VERY simple ones that you can even make yourself.
if not, i have a Moroso oil catch can with braided stainless steel lines for $100.
I want it to look good when people see it, how well does it catch the oil ? I went through a qt of oil in a few weeks with the super charger. But I have been getting on it pretty hard. I know if I pull the it if there will be a puddle of oil in the manifold.
So I am just trying to catch some of that before it gets in there. Do you have anything in your can to help catch it or is it just empty ?
I have seen and read a lot on them but I am just looking to hear from people that have them
my can has two compartments housed in the cylinder. in and out.
i forgot which side (in or out) that has the internal baffle which consist of fine mesh.
most likely, IN as the flow of oil going in to capture any sediments.
that's what I use mine for...to capture carbon deposits before they reach the Intake Manifold, not necessarily to capture oil.

I can personally tell you that there are cans, and then there are supperior oil/ particulate separators. I did flow analysis on 8 of the most popular designs out there. While the design my team came up with worked the best.. it still hasn't made it to mass production.
Mishimoto's Can fell 2nd to our design and I would recommend this can if you want the best that is out on the market right now.

because of blow-by?

Yes blow by and it helps keep the oil from going back into the motor. Through the manifold.

No ? Now this is just my take on my I am losing oil. The pcv valve that is hooked directly to the inlet to the super charger is creating blow by of in burnt oil. And a catch can would help capture some of the oil before it makes it into the manifold and back into the motor though the wrong way right.
The added pressure from the super charger I think creates a lot more blow by of unburnt oil. And the oil goes directly into the intake manifold. I can take the super charger off and there will be a puddle of unburnt oil sitting there, like clean oil. The catch can is suppose to help keep that unburnt oil out of there as much as possible. At least this has been my experience from the other super charger I had on my si, it did the same thing.
No if I drive around like a grandma it probably would not be as bad but since I don't more unburnt oil makes its way into the manifold under the super charger.

You can see the hose that goes from the valve back into the inlet and that is where you would put the catch can to catch some of that oil
As well, obert search for baffled oil catch can. That's the one you want to get. If you can get it used off of someone I would recommend that, they are pricey. But overall well designed and I gotta hand it to them, their packaging is impressive. Definitely gets you excited when you see how neat and tidy it comes. Like opening an Apple iPhone box for the first time haha

Yeah it's expensive.. but even if you buy it new you could still sell it for $200 minimum. Nothing but that copper sintered filter will go bad, and you can buy a new one of those on McMasterCarr for like $4 or something super cheap.

In my honest opinion none of those are necessary. You're not running high pressure, so SS lines are for show. The Banjo Bolt is completely unnecessary, yeah it allows you to swivel in any direction, but their design for the top mount portion is like 12 way adjustable. And finally the petcock seems like a good idea for easy draining, however the reality is that in order to drain something you need to drain it to a lower source, and how hard is that going to be when it's located in your engine bay? The reality is you're going to un-install the can, and at that point it's just as easy to unscrew the top and dump it out.

I use 2 catch cans the bigger they are the better they work in my opinion I have super balls inside of the filters to keep them closed they will blow open if pressure builds up in the can I don't think they ever do I just like the way they look It's a (link)
