I got a quote of 1200$ for timing belt kit, water pump, coolant flush and from another place I got a quote for 900$ for the timing belt kit, water pump, flush, and serpentine belt also. I heard a strange whining sound the other day and noticed a slight miss fire drive on the freeway and another rough kind of sound where the drive belt are at
If you are at the specified mileage to change the timing belt I would do it as soon as possible. It will cost you more if you don't get it done $900 sounds about the going rate
That reminds me, I need to get my timing belt, water pump, etc changed too. I'm at 105,401ish miles. Would you guys recommend to get it done at a dealership/shop or just do it yourself?

If you feel comfortable doing it yourself, go for it. There is a decent DIY in the garage section of the forum. I didn't think it was to hard just lots of small spaces and torquing the crank to 190 lbs lol.

Happy Autumn guys, While for most of you, car season is over but for me it's never ending, offroading, plowing leaves to a cabin in the boonies. Looking forward to plowing snow soon too
No car seasons never over you just give another car little more use and the other one less use. BTW that's a cool photo. Glad to see that our thread is not going dormant
I'm back
By the way, do any of you guys snowboard? If so, we should go this Winter.

I just started boarding last year so still super noob. I have a few friends that are pro but I try not to go with them because they're too good, lol.
Haha, it's all good. I started a few years ago, I didn't get any chance to go last Winter because I was busy but this year I'm definitely hitting the slopes. Where do you usually go?
I like turtles
I snowboard, I'd definitely be down to hit up the slopes this year

I've never tried snowboarding. In the winter I just play hockey, snowshoe, and snowmobile.
Finally got the car ready for winter. Clay and sealed the paint, winter tires go on this Saturday.

Man, I'm not ready for snow yet, LOL. Just happens it's gonna storm when I'm in Florida right now. Haven't raised the car up or mounted my new snow tires yet.....It's going to suck when I get back
The snow came this morning and it's here to stay lol and it's supposed to snow some more over night too. I put my winter tires on a week ago so I was ready for it. When do you get back from FL?
Well the TL is tucked away for the winter and I also miss the snow because I'm in Grand Cayman in the Caribbean so guys enjoy the first snow:thumb-sup

Winter has been pretty good to me so far. I'm loving my first set of winter tires, don't know how I managed without them for so long.
Hope we get to see our videos from our cruise SOON!!
Youseff (sorry, don't know how to spell it) didn't you take any videos you could post as well?
