Also, can you use the auto-focus assist beam to change the channel on the TV now?
They remove the filter that Canon or others has put on the sensor, the one that prevent IR light to the camera. They then add a filter that allows only IR light to the camera.

So, did you get one? This is the "Post YOUR photography equipment" thread, you know.

BTW, looks like you'll beat me to 10k by a month or so.

Oh crap. If I knew you were looking for an f/4, I might have sold you mine. I want to upgrade to the f/4 IS before summer.

I am also planning on selling my 17-40 f/4 L to get an 85 1.8, some extension tubes and a tele extender.

Anyone know of a quality neck strap with swivels on it to keep it from getting all twisted up? I like the OP/Tech straps that have some "give" to them, but can't find one with the swivels.

Search amazon for them, I know I saw them before I bought this one, I have three of them. Love them and don't have problems with getting too twisted up.

I don't know if this is the purpose of this thread, but I'm negative two great lenses (17-40 f/4 L and 70-200 f/4 L)

I'll be getting a 70-200 f/4 L IS to replace the one I sold.

Oh, I also picked up a Tamron 1.4x TC.

They are the same dimensions. The IS version just weighs slightly more (~0.15 lbs according to B&H).
