I've seen it too many times this year on days that I KNOW I should still be sleeping. I think I'm going to see it again tomorrow morning as well. But that's a coin toss right now.

I like the first one, maybe change the angle to not see the trees and house.

tripod or freestanding

Found a place for pano printing http://artisticphotocanvas.com/ Scott Kelby's suggestion, take a look at his blog from 28 July 2009 http://www.scottkelby.com/

drigo did you shoot the panos verticle or horizontal? I ask because on that dtowntv (that jupitersolo pointed me too) Scott Kelby says that verticle shots give himbetter results.

www.dtowntv.com had a good tip this week for freestyle. They talk about adjusting your feet as you shoot, take a few shots and turn into your shot by adjusting your feet instead of twisting your body, it helps get rid of the bowtie effect with shooting freestyle pano's.

For as close as you were, I think verts with a 10-22 mighthave been too much for this one. But for a UWA lens it will keep any fringing or distortion of the lens at the top and bottom, keeping it away from the subject.

thats pretty much how i do it..i usually do a "practice" round before i actually shoot to make sure i get what i want in the frame and to make sure that i'm pretty balanced

so far all of my pano's have been shot with my 10-22 and all horizontal...i'll have to try verts...it'll probably give me more room for cropping

It does a great job, a little pricey. Have you tried CS3 or CS4 they have really worked to make it better than previous versions?

Great stuff in here. The storm cloud shots by everyone are awesome.

Audi, that second one looks like a great entry for the current contest.

I finally read the Photomatix tutorial and got a couple of shots processed. I'll spring for the full version when I get home so I can get rid of the water marks.

Gateshead Millennium Bridge
(Newcastle/Gateshead, UK)
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68088083@N00/3772348829/" title="Gateshead Millennium Bridge HDR by MoeRonn, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2451/3772348829_7ec5f4033c_o.jpg" width="1024" height="682" alt="Gateshead Millennium Bridge HDR" /></a>

Fountains at Versaiiles (Palace of Versailles, France)
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/68088083@N00/3798847205/" title="Versailles Fountain HDR - August 2009 by MoeRonn, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2650/3798847205_72107ca625_o.jpg" width="1024" height="682" alt="Versailles Fountain HDR - August 2009" /></a>

These were hand held and I still need to clean up a bunch of sensor dust.

First, your pics are awesome. The second one is amazing. Secondly, I didn't realize the current contest was a black, white, color theme. I just submitted my firetruck pic. thanks

Very nice!

I genrerally don't like the cartoony look most people do with HDR but it works well here. I think the subject and scene goes well with the effect. It looks like something you'd see in a Roger Rabbit movie.

Thanks. I like to do a range of stuff with my HDR's. I like enhancing the color and just making pictures "pop". I also like going with an outrageous picture that looks like it was painted. As long as the results are pleasing to my eye, then I am happy.

Thank you.

Here's another one from the same trip. There's a little noise/distortion under the arches. Couldn't figure out how to fix it.

Damn nice images here.

drigo - how many exposures do you take for most of your HDRs? Most of the time I'm shooting hand-held so getting more than 3 is impractical, but yours cover such a huge range that I'm guessing you take at least 5?

He uses the same technique I do I believe (if memory serves correctly). He takes one RAW image and uses his camera software to create multiple exposures. The downside is it can create more noise from what I have read, but you can take pictures handheld without a problem.
