P0122 throttle pedal position sensor

My car finally threw a code P0122 throttle pedal position sensor.

I can't find the sensor listed anywhere.

Where is it both on the car & in the Manual?

Thanks

that's because the sensor is not sold by itself, it is only part of the throttle body. go to ebay, there is a company who sells the TPS.

Thanks. Do you know if one for an 01 MDX will work? There is an auction for one of those. The seller has an 888# but does not open for 30 minutes.

That is the company I found. It lists TL but not CL. Same motor no? I called and they don't answer between 9-12. I left a message.

I looked at mine now that I know where it is there are no heads on the bolts, that is just mean.

Guess I'll be using my Ingersoll Rand to drill those Fukkerz out.

Thanks

I have one brand new in the box for sale. Bought it from one of the ebay retailers. Turns out mine was ok.

PM and I'll give you a good price on it. Again, brand spanking new in the box.

I thought they were Hex screws? Maybe that's why the ebay seller lists that they include new bolts?

There are no heads.

NSXNEXT told me they are screws, I am about to dremel a line in them to validate the theory (I am sure it's right)

Thats how all USDM acura/hondas are. Just cut a slot and spin them. Or use a screw driver and sort of chisel them to spin them out.

The jdm hondas and acuras had torx head bolts.

I just dremeled a slot and they came right out.

I pulled the existing unit, blew air into it and the throttle body side, cleaned the contacts and put it back together all symptoms are gone. I will replace it as soon as the new one comes even if no symptoms occur.

I am pretty relieved as I was concerned first that it was the transmission as among the symptoms was not shifting normally and also that it is possible to fix without dropping almost three hundred on the entire throttle body (shame on you Acura/Honda)

This is the second time my code reader has paid for it's self.

Sorry to post to an old thread but just wanted to document for future searchers that the Dorman 911-753 TP sensor works on the CL (and TL). Replaced and calibrated mine after throwing P0122.
