Wiring an amplifier
Hey All,
I recently replaced all of the door speakers with Infinity Kappas and for some reason the subwoofer lost it's thump. My assumption is the speakers are drawing power from the subwoofer. So I am adding a 3 channel JBL GTO - 3EZ amp to the set up. I will power the front doors and subwoofer (Installing a Kicker in the factory location) with it. The stock amp will continue to power the rear doors, rear pods and dash.
My question is what color is the remote turn on wire at the stock amp? I've spent two hours reading the audio and DIY sections and have no answer to this (outside of sticking a wire to the fuse box).
Thanks and I appreciate any help.

WTF?
not sure if you have base or tech pack but if i remember correctly its the pink wire that is actually from the head unit and not the amp, take a voltage tester to it and do the on off switch to confirm

I have the tech package. I was hoping this would be easy and not having to get behind the dash. Shouldn't that wire make it's way to the amp to turn it on when the key is turned to accessory?
And thank you for the response.

If thats annoying, find yourself a fuse under the drivers side area that is hot while the car is running (as in has power, not literally hot. if its literally hot you have an issue), then buy an add a fuse module, swap that in making sure to keep the same fuse rating as the original fuse and use a low amp fuse for the new circuit youll be making
If both of those are too much of a pain, then you can get level converters (LC2i) that detect when there is a high level input on the RCA side and will provide a remote signal to your amp to turn on as soon as the high level is detected. (this is the option I have)
