ZDX gas per miles

Anyone is concern about how much millage make de ZDX per gallon? As per the factory they make 16/23, but I drive my ZDX for 8000 miles already, and the average is 14.3 miles per gallon. A lot less that wath they published. And I don’t drive in traffic and 50% city and 50% highway.

I am averaging 18 to 18.1 mpg in combined city and highway driving. What is clear to me is that the higher the speed, the lower the MPG. Average overall for nearly 10,000 miles, where the first part of the driving was mostly city, has been 17.6.

6700 miles so far. The best is 22 on the highway (75mph, AC on), probably ~15 city.

Yes, you are right. As per the manufacturer specifications, the vehicle can achieve impressive mileage of 23 miles per gallon. The reduction in gas mileage will be due to increase in passenger volume. Even the driving conditions matters.

I'm getting 10-11MPG in the city and I'm not concerned one bit, because all my cars so far have been under performing when it comes to MPG. My commute is 2 miles to work, 2 miles back home and maybe a few miles to run errands - all in Brooklyn traffic, with a stop light on every other corner. I do take the highway on the weekends, so that brings the mileage to 13-14MPG for the week.

My 05 Scion tC got about 21MPG in the city, my 06 TSX got about 18MPG and my 07 TL-S got 13-14MPG, so I knew what to expect when I got the ZDX.

After driving RDX's for 5 years we don't find the mileage that bad. We don't drive in the city very much mind you. For the same route taken everyday back and forth to work our gas mileage varies from 22-23 mpg whereas the RDX got about 24-25 mpg.

Note we live in Canada so our mileage will be higher than yours due to a larger gallon. I have yet to take it on a good highway trip so no idea what that mileage would be though on one small one we got 28mpg right after a fill up.

you sometimes have the best gas mileage right after a fill up because before you were driving with little gas which brings down the weight in the car.

Just under 2K miles on mine....

I seem to be averaging (so far) between 19 and 21 mpg. I took two 3-hour all-highway trips and averaged 22.9 mpg on those trips alone (no lie!). But majority of my driving (daily work commute) average closer to 19. My daily commute to and from work are about 50% city/50% hwy. Oh, and Premium fuel all the way.

Im curious to know how many miles most of you are getting on a full tank. I know it will vary due to everyone's different schedule.

Im only getting around 300 miles on a full tank is this bad? I know my wheels play the biggest role in this. To work and back is about 35 miles daily. Most of this is highway. Keep in mind it has been over 100 degrees everyday since I purchased the car. The A/C is at full blast most the time too.

I took the car to Washington DC last weekend (from NY) - with speeds of about 75-80mph, I was getting 22mpg. Filled up at less than quarter tank, 17 gallons, lasted me about 370 miles. Usually around the city, I'm lucky if I get 200 miles out of a tank

Filled up last night. I got 320 miles out of the tank. Computer said I was getting 16.7 mgp. Oahu is considered all city driving even though we have freeways so I think thats not bad. I also always run the a/c although not full blast. The real problem is our gas prices. $4.07 for premium from costco gas....

I drive pretty conservative (no sudden braking/acceleration)
So far, been getting 410-420 per full tank (>20, max 21 mpg)
Dropping kids + to work about 20 miles mix 50-50.

There are days that I feel like 'racing' a bit... But i'm pretty discipline not to do that often... :-)

At the end of my tanks, I have been averaging 19 to 20 GPM. I drive about 50/50 city/highway.

I can answer this first hand, and unbelievably, because of my Acura dealer. When I test drove the car, it had less than half a tank. After I purchased the car, they filled it up. The next morning I pulled my ZDX out of the driveway like a proud new owner with all the neighbors looking at my new ride. I backed out, put it in drive and there it was.......the engine released loud string of knocks and pings. The sound from the engine resembled a 20 year old lawn mower. I immediately called my dealer to tell them I was on my was and described the noise my ZDX was making. The service guy on the other line scoffed at me and told me it was I filled it with low octane fuel. I said, "funny, I bought the car last night from your dealership, and it was YOU that filled it with cheap gas." Sure enough, after it got down to about half tank, I filled it with Shell 91 octane and the sound went away immediately. Acura uses high compression engines that require the high octane. Otherwise performance suffers, and it sounds like the engine is about to drop out of the bottom.

And you get accelerated carbon buildup paired with lower fuel economy. 91+ is not a suggestion, it is a requirement.
