Wind noise at highway speeds

Im curious to see if any of you are experiencing much wind noise at highway speeds. Seems like it comes more from the glass roof then the side windows. Its really not that bad but would expect less wind noise from a car like this. What do you guys think?

Your radio volume is to low, turn it up.

but as far as the OP is concerned, in the sunroof visor closed (not the glass portion), or open?

Haha you guys crack me up! I usually keep the sun visor open most the time. Like I said before its not that bad, just one of those things you think of when you get a new car. Could just be normal. I had to pick up a New Mercedes GL the other day for work and noticed more road noise and wind noise then my car!

and if you want quieter, you just close it lol

but every car has some sort of road noise to it, newer models just seem to be quieter then previous models though (and some manufactures do better then others)

btw what sort of job requires you to pick up a benz? and drive it?

I think I may be expecting too much out of my new vehicle lol.

I work for a wholesale wheel company that requires us to pick up vehicles on a daily basis for wheel service, new packages, machining, etc. Every make every model. I do all their photography, Graphic Design, Marketing and such. But since I do the photography that means I have to drive them too, pretty good gig really!

not bad at all, especially being newer vehicles, not some POS vehicles like me at times (auto tech, and some of the vehicles are not the best, but there are some really nice ones though)

but yeah as far as the road/wind noise, gotta remember every time a manufacture quiets one noise down, the next noise becomes the most apparent one (especially if the radio is not on), it's like a never ending game for them (let alone, every model redesign basically starts over almost)(btw even when i drive a Honda, sometimes i feel like i am in a tin can, compared to my Acura)

but i do know Lexus, does have some very quiet vehicles compared to other manufactures though, so might be worth looking at next time idk

edit: also don't forget manufactures are also constantly trying to fight added weight/cost from noise suppression to fuel economy and such

As far as the ZDX goes its a very quit ride I think! Acura really hit a home run with the ride comfort on the ZDX, silky smooth. I can tell you its quitter then most vehicles I drive too. I probably drive Lexus brand more then any other vehicle. Lexus makes a great product but a bit boring for my taste. I personally think they are overrated but what do I know

The ZDX does have a slight wind noise. Not sure where it's coming from but definately noticeable. I was surprised when i heard it but I'm sure they'll take care of it soon with 2012 or so. Love the dam car so much though. Mugen_Kid on a side note your ZDX is by far the best ZDX i've seen though I did not believe it could have looked much better than it was already but you have proven me wrong. Keep up the good work!!!!

Glad im not the only one! I seem to here it a little bit but cant determine where it's coming from. Like other have said I just turn up the Dolby Surround and forget about it Thanks for your comments about my car, I didn't think this thing could look any better too! There's just something about the lines of the ZDX!
