Where in the world is the cabin filter..?
Hey whats up ZDseXer's I have changed many a Honda and Acura cabin filter on my own in the past. For some God forsaken reason I can't find the location of the filter in our beloved ZDX. If anyone has changed theirs or just happens to know where it is located please fill a brother in... (and for all the haters lurking in cyber space, I have already checked the owners manual. It states to see your dealer for that service)...

I believe it is in the glove box behind the shelf that the manuals go in. I have not tried yet but that is where it is on allot of the newer Acuras. You can pull out the shelf piece and there should be a door panel with a plastic tab on each end. You remove that and the filter slides out. I may be wrong but that was how it was on my TL.

open glove box.
empty glove box.
squeeze the two sides of the glove box inward and let the glove box drop down.
there you will see a little black box with end tabs.
push end tabs inward and slide the cabin filter out.
replace cabin filter.
reinsert and reverse the above instructions.
done. less than 60 seconds of your life was spent replacing your cabin filter. enjoy!
and the dealer wants an absurd amount of money to do this for you.

and then there was light!
Thank you guys and gals!! I found the cabin filter. It is in the glove box but not like the traditional honda/acura pinching glove box and lowering. You have to pull out a plastic divider that is in there and then viola! Its behind that piece. I was afraid of pulling it to hard at first and possibly snapping the plastic shelf, but a job well done none the less. Cost me a total of $9.

ugh...they designed the ZDX like the TL. WTF? the one in the 3G TL....you have to take the glove box off completely, then pry off the trim piece to access the cabin filter (hoping and praying you dont' snap any important clips that hold it on). i think i might do the "mod" and cut an access into the plastic to get to the cabin filter easier.
the honda engineer that designed it this way...
glad you found it though!
