What are you paying?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of trading my 07TL-S in for a ZDX. I've loved the style of ZDX ever since it came out and really want to jump into one, but I want to make sure its not out of my league price wise.

I spoke to the dealer who I get my Acura's from (Acura of Westchester) and they said a lease on a ZDX Tech will be $630+tx. (10k miles per year, $0 down). I know I qualify for tier 1, so does this sound right to you?

Anyone here lease a ZDX Tech?

Now I know that the payment will vary from state to state and its depending on the person's credit, but I just want to know what to expect.

Thanks in advance

Hopefully we'll get more input but...you said that you are trading in your car for a lease. I dont know exactly how that works because I never leased a car, but the $589 with $1734 due at signing is all dependent on the the amount you "may" owe and get trade in for your TL-S? Hmm...I would think this would make a big difference because your current TL-S would be your down payment.....yes? Can any ZDX owners please chime in on this....i've always been extremely curious about leased vehicles....

I decided to sell my car private party. The dealer can only give me $17,500 whereas I know I can sell it for at least $21000.

Here's how a trade in on a lease works. The dealer gives you a price for your car. If you agree on that price the you sell you car to them. If they give you more than you owe then you can either take the balance as a check or apply it as a downpayment.
If what the dealer offers you is less then you owe and you accept the deal then you either pay them the difference or you roll it into the next loan. This is called negative equity.

Example. In 2004 I financed a scion tc. In 2006 I leased a tsx trading in the scion. At the time I owed Toyota financial $10,500. The dealer gave me $13000 for it, which is similar go what I could get from a private party. So thus, I gave them the car. They payed $10,500 to Toyota financial and gave me a check for the rest.

I decided to get a check instead of applying it as a downpayment because I believe that leaving a downpayment on a lease is not a good idea. If the car becomes a total loss then you lose the deposit.

What I did was, break down the $2500 into 36 months. I placed that 2500 into a bank account and every month I took out $69 to add to the car payment

Dammit man....this is ingenious! Taking the additional $2500 you made on trade in and adding it to the additional principal every month. I would think also a down payment on a lease is not a good idea. I learn more and more each and every day from you all. Thanks for the break down.

You're 24 and you want to lease a car for $600/month? I hope you earn a six figure salary and own a fully paid off house, otherwise you're making a terrible choice.

Nowadays...$600/month for a car is not that much....a $33K auto loan from PFCU @ 3.99% for 60 months is $607/month. Most brand new Acuras probably can't be bought for less than this....lol...my

donnieb83 is right... and if you take advantage of the promotional rates that Honda/ Acura is offering now you can knock it down even more... I was able to get 1.9% on 60 mos. I think it runs until beginning of July.

Signed a lease last night
$589 per month. $1734 due at signing (including 1st month payment). Price of the car was 45,080 (or around there). Basically, the dealership sold it to me at invoice.

I highly recommend DCH Acura in NJ. Very professional people, and absolutely 0 bs.

Pics to follow after the weekend

Congrats on the ZDX. Other than the rear entry, which is for midgets, it's a fabulous car.

i just picked up my zdx with tech package. I think i got a bargain deal. $660/month (btw its a lease) 15K miles 36month, zero down, tax included. I just had to pay the dmv fee and the first month payment which came to $978. Is this is a bargain deal or what
