Saw an X6 in Person

and it made me appreciate my Z even more. I had never seen a BMW X6 up close until recently when I was walking out of a Wal-Mart and there it was in the parking lot. I always park my Z far far away and it usually sits out by itself. As I was walking towards my car I couldn't help but smile and think to myself "I am so glad I followed my first mind and bought a new 2013 Palladium ZDX instead of a certified pre-owned X6.

the X6 is subjectively better looking in my eyes than the Z.

X6 also packs a punch where as the Z crawls.

The BMW X6 is one of the ugliest cars ever created.

I would almost suggest that if there was no "BMW" badge and say, we slapped on a Pontiac logo on it, people would think it was the Aztek Part 2 in terms of ugly.

The X6 is a horrible looking car, from all angles. The car is far overpriced over the ZDX, the ZDX is a better car and a better buy. Congrats on the '13 ZDX

ZDX is significantly better looking than the BMW Aztek.

Dont know why but I still salivate when I see an x6. I like it more than my zdx but the pricetag is what kept me away from it plus the bmw "reliability"

Do you salivate when you see the Aztek?

Those above who said the X6 is a faster car...wrong. Much heavier and slower, think again. Throw the ZDX in SPORT mode and I can haul SERIOUS ass. The X6 has a gorgeous front end, the rest of it is a hot ass mess. I have had several BMW's in my family and the X6 is one of the most laughable. ZDX owns the X6 pretty much any and every day.

Okay...wait. We agree on the looks but if you're talking about performance, I believe the X6 wins.

Assuming we're just comparing the V6 trim, most tests have the X6 sprinting form 0-60 in 6.3s...around there. The ZDX takes more time (check out Motor Trend's test here: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...a_zdx_arrival/).

.2 sec's difference? Not something to write home about. Also that article has the Z at 6.5 and 6.8 my personal tests with Acura were at 6.3-6.4, again nothing noteworthy for the X

Then, to your original point, the ZDX is not exactly faster.

I mean, let's be rational here: the ZDX is a fine vehicle IMO despite horrid sales. And overall, while I'm not fan of the mileage you get or the back-seats, it's a decent CUV. Definitely wins hands-down in the looks department over the X6. But, performance-wise, it does not beat out BMW.

Just the facts.

I will admit though, the Z could've benefited from a few more horsepower.
