Running board lights
I was wondering how many are experiencing led bulb out on running board. I have one out and don’t believe it’s a replaceable bulb. So in the morning I’m having a guy check and if needed change wire to accept a replaceable led bulb.

The bulb is easily accessible , it’s plugged in on the end of running board , a rubber boot
type so all he did was unplug it without disassembling the running board.
Then cut the too wires that lead up to the bulb connector boot and pull the rubber boot containing bulb off to go find the led bulb to solder
the replacement bulb in. It’s a fixed led small yellow bulb that you pry out
And solder back in then solder the wires together and heat shrink it.
At least it’s very easy to get to without messing with the running board.
I have one bulb out so we are just doing that one.

Hi
Can somebody tell me how these running board lights work (when you open the door, when you unlock the car, with the running lights, etc)? I am just thinking if those 2 pin connectors can be used for something else like LED lights for example.
